There’s this battle going on between doctors and insurance companies and we consumers are caught in the middle. I created DoctorTricks.com to reach out to other consumers, let them share their stories and tips, and try to figure out how we can survive in this war zone.
Who am I? I’m a web site designer, publisher, author, humorist, dad… and I recently had a bout of bad health that led me down a rabbit hole of insurance, doctors, and hospitals that made my head spin and my wallet sting. Wanting to share my experience and help others avoid the trap I fell into, I started DoctorTricks.com.
Yet, you’re sure you’ve heard the name Greg Bulmash before…
Between 1996 and 2005, I wrote for and then helped build the photo collection for The Internet Movie Database. Right now I do some freelance design and develop my own sites.
If none of that rings a bell, and my name still sounds familiar, perhaps a friend mailed you one of my jokes. The most famous is my joke job application that became an urban legend. But there are others and others around the web. And I get quoted too.
But does that make me an expert on medicine, doctors, or insurance? Nope. I’m like you. I’m tired. I’m frustrated. I want a solution that lets me go to the doctor, get the treatments and medicines I need, and not get screwed by my doctor or my insurer.
